had prize presentation this morning. i had 2 stand onstage with all that glaring footlights while mr ho read a whole passage abt miie 4 the singa award. christine was a little miffed cos my certificate was printed in minted gold and it was also typed, while the other singa merit award winners had theirs printed in silver. i was quite surprised when mr ho told me that i was the overall winner for the singa award. i thot abigail was much better. and christine beats me in almost everything. prefect exco, rhythmic gym, results.......

had rehearsal after recess. the 6 hopean dancers did REALLY well, except 4 the fact that there was somethn wrong with the disc. i TOTALLY love our music its really nice. when we had 2 perform, i was so scared that the rope wouldn't land properly on my ankle when i threw it into the air. i was scared that the rope wouldn't go through my legs when i did batamon tendu [in ballet language] i was scared that when i made my appearance b4 denise and abigail, the rope wouldn't go thru my leap. i was so scared in the wings, i think i was going 2 get paranoid.

we had 2 hand 2 mrs lau our torches . i had 2 check with her abt them, so i went up 2 her.

miie : erm...mrs lau, jessica told me 2 ask u where our torches were.
mrs lau : *smiles* it's right here, dear, [ opens the white plastic bag ]
miie : *peers inside* oh...okay. thnxx :)

GRADUATION NITE */-

arrived in school at 4.30pm, i think. i was wearing the black long-sleeved competition leotard. with the class tee in the front. christine, abigail, denise and lynette were already there. christine was wearing a pale blue polo neck. abby and denise were wearing their white [funky monkey] class tee. lynette was wearing gym camp tee. then afterwards, jessica, gladys, isabelle, low ann and the others began streaming in the gym in 2s and 3s.

gladys brought glitter gel. and hao yi smeared so much on my hair that i think i looked like a circus performer. hahaxx. i must admit, i was pretty cheesed off. anywae, the 6 hopean dancers looked GREAT in their makeup, kelly jie had lip gloss on, and she looked cute. kimberely and sophia went 2 perm their hair just 4 tonite. and sophia came 2 school in a short-sleeved white turtle neck! girls alwaes tend 2 go overboard when it comes 2 stuff like this. =)

when it was time, we made our way 2 the hall and the song [ Graduation ] played on the speakers. it was so sad and touching ......i felt a deep sense of sadness, though i'm not sure y.

i went onstage AGAIN 2 receive my good service award. and i was nervous, 4 some reason. :)

when it was the gym girls time 2 perform, we went backstage. abigail, denise and i were really REALLY nervous. the music did give me some comfort in a way. i did the leap into the rope without any disturbance, but my leg didn't go thru the rope properly when i was doing that part. so i just skipped that part and went straight 2 the pao sheng. 4 me, it went pretty well, but 4 abigail, it wasn't that good. she threw the rope 2 far inwards, and thus, she caught the rope out of line. i liked the part where the gymmers in the 3rd part, which is me, abby, denise, lynette, michelle and jolene. outr ending pose was really nice.

then 4 our finale, christine and i were partners. [ i'm going 2 put the steps we did in ballet language, which is also french =) ] we did a pete jete into the middle where we switched places, and then cartwheeled forward. then we ended the gymmers finale with a reneve spin inwards and a bow.

i want 2 thank abigail and denise, especially, 4 egging me on backstage, and telling me not 2 b nervous. and i would also like 2 thank all the 6 HOPEANS who cheered 4 miie in their seats. thnxx so much!

after the whole thing, we went back 2 the gym 2 collect our stuff. so many girls sobbed, including kelly jie, shuxiang, sophia etc. daddy took pics of us while yuqing played on the trampoline. sirin, my best buddy 4 now and alwaes, had dinner with us in jack's place. we saw mdm chew, mrs hum and 2 other t-chers waiting 2 cross the road. then sirin and i scrolled down the car window and shouted out [ HELLO MDM CHEW!!!! ] mdm chew was so shocked! hahaxx...then daddy drove off with us laughing away. mdm chew and the others ate at the same place as us!

after a really nice dinner, daddy drove sirin home. i can hardly wait 2 go 2 her house next fridae!
